  • Filming Request at Stations - Please give us notice

    Arriva Trains Wales manages and operates 244 stations in Wales and the border counties of England. 55 stations are staffed and 189 are un-staffed.

    Requests for staffed stations:
    Unless for news agencies such as BBC, ITV, Sky or Radio Stations, filming requested with less than 5-7 working days notice cannot be guaranteed. We require at least 14 working days to process your film request.

    This is to allow sufficient time for you to complete the necessary documentation and for us to consider the application, for the necessary Health & Safety accreditation to be issued and for supervision to be arranged where required.

    Filming on staffed stations must take place between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

    Requests for un-staffed stations:
    Shoots with less than 7-10 days notice cannot be guaranteed. We required at least 14 working days to process your film request.

    Filming on un-staffed stations must take place between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

    Please note: We cannot authorise filming and photography requests on stations and service not operated by Arriva Trains Wales.

    • Filming requests for Manchester Piccadilly & Birmingham New Street, please contact Network Rail.
    • Filming requests for Crewe, please contact Virgin Trains.
    • Filming requests for stations between Shrewsbury and Birmingham, please contact London Midland.
    • Filming requests for station east of Severn Tunnel junction and north of Lydney, please contact First Great Western.
